Probablity game with a dice
The probablity is a concept that our students of primary education should know regarding the educative law. What´s more, is something essential to know for understanding certain situation in our daily life.
According to WordReference, it defines probability as: Calculation or quantitative determination of the possibility of verifying an event.
Once we already know what probablity is, let´s think about how we can teach it to our pupils. For this reason, I have a very interesting activity for you about it.
The activity calls, as you see in the title, "probablity game with a dice": In groups, 4 o 5 students per group (depending of the total number of students in your class), the teacher will throw two big dices and s/he is gonna ask the next question? (as an example) : How many times will the number one appear? And the students will think about the answer and they will write it in a paper. This activity works the mental agitily and the intelligence of the students, and, besides that, it would be lead to 3rd cycle primary students because it requires a lot of agility that maybe the students of 1st and 2nd cycle don´t develop yet.
Here you have a video that maybe would be more useful. Some students playing that game appear in it. I hope you like it!
